TP-Link Router Login

To manage your home network settings, you need to log in to the TP-Link web interface. This guide covers the essential steps to get you into the settings page quickly so you can fix your internet or change your password.

Your router has a built-in website used for configuration. You access this through your web browser. You do not need to install any apps on your computer to do this.

How to Login to TP-Link Router?

Follow these steps to open the admin panel.

  1. Connect your device to the TP-Link network. Using a wired Ethernet cable provides the most stable connection, but Wi-Fi works as well.
  2. Open your web browser.
  3. Type http://tplinkwifi.net in the address bar and press Enter. If that does not work, try typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.
  4. Enter your username and password when the login screen appears.
  5. Click Login.

Default Credentials

Most TP-Link routers use the same factory default settings.

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin

Note: Newer routers often do not have a default password and will ask you to create a new administrator password the first time you access them.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot access the page, check these common solutions.

Address Not Working If typing the address leads to a search engine result or an error, try clearing your browser cache. Also, make sure you are not connected to a VPN, as this blocks local access.

Forgot Password If the default “admin” password does not work, you likely changed it in the past. To regain access, you must reset the router.

How to Reset

  1. Find the small button labeled Reset or WPS/Reset on the back of the router.
  2. With the router powered on, press and hold the button for about 10 seconds.
  3. Release the button when the lights on the router flash.
  4. Wait for the router to restart, then log in using the default “admin” credentials.
